The Monster Princess #2

Now that I’ve finished the latest touch-up to Morpheus Road #2, it’s time to clear my head and work on something completely different…which is to write the second Monster Princess book.  It’s weird going from writing about horror and strife, to getting all fun and bubbly.  On the other hand, it’s good to change gears and think in a different direction.  It keeps things fresh…and interesting.

And it’s perfect timing since The Monster Princess #1  is going to be published in a few weeks.  There won’t be an extensive tour, I’ll just be going to semi-local spots (Meaning: drivable) for readings and storytime.   These will be WAY different than Morpheus Road/Pendragon events in that the readers will all be under 8 years old!  Talk about thinking in a different direction!  I’m looking forward to it.

Anyway M you getting the opportunity to be able to publish something is kool
Not many people can write something good enough to be published
you must be a very good writer

    @ Marina
So what voice do you sing: Soprano, Mezzo, Alto, (assuming that your a girl and can’t sing Tenor, Baritone, or Bass….)???
I sing Bass in my church choir, and they were surprised that I was a Bass at 14. (Well I’m really a Baritone but that counts as Bass in my church…)

    @ Liv
Thanks so much, Liv! You have no idea how great that is to hear! Actually, we are still in the process of writing and editing and publishing but as soon as it’s published I will definitely let you know. I also have a couple of poetry books that I’m trying to publish as well. And I think I can try to put your name in the mythology book that I’m writing because that would be so cool!

    @ Mozartghost
Well, I’ve only been singing for a year. I’m also not actually in a choir so I don’t know my “rank” (for lack of a better word.) Ok, I used to play piano but I quit so I’m going to try to tell you my range in a very unformal way. Every clef (CDEFGAB) I’m going to call a set. The lowest I can go is the E# one set below middle C. And the highest I can go is B one set above middle C. Can you understand that? I don’t really know how to describe. I know that’s not a huge range but I’ve only been singing for about a year so…

  5. Marina says:

    @ Mozartghost
I forgot to mention that I love to write songs! I’m very passionate about poetry and I usually try to add music to my work. I know this question is probably going to get me nowhere but how did you get YOUR music copywrited?

  6. Mozartghost says:

So you’re basically a Mezzo-Soprano….(If I understood that right, you can reach the B one octave, (or set) higher than the B ABOVE middle C.)
    That’s bigger then my range.
I can go from the G at the bottom of the bass clef to the D at the bottom of the treble clef.
I got my music copyrighted at a recording studio when I made CDs of it.

  7. Marina says:

Ok, I think you understood me correct but to be honest I’m really confused. :D

Yeah, I really want to get my songs copyrighted but the chances that I’ll ever be able to record them at a studio seem very slim to me. You must have some talent if you’re even gotten the chance!

  8. Mozartghost says:

I had to do it for my application to
University of North Carolina School of The Arts.

  9. Marina says:

    Oh, that’s pretty cool!

  10. liv says:

you have writen some poetry books!!!!!! thats kool i dont think I could write poetry!!!!!!!
And Moz I cant sing so dont even bother asking me. When I sing it sounds pretty bad.
For a girl my voice is pretty low I cant even reach the treble clef middle c.
So your 14 kool that means your only one year older than me Im 13.
P.S. Moz do you play any musical instruments other than the piano????!!!!???
    M, do you too?????
I Dont know where you could get music published?????
    Try TN, Nashville

  11. liv says:

OPPS I forgot the #1 girl rule never under any circumstances reveal your age
Oh well now only the whole world will know!!!!!
    Whats not positive about that!!!!!!

  12. liv says:

P.S. M where did you find the smiley faces
    im totally jelous

  13. Marina says:

    @ Liv
Yeah, I am also going to play the guitar.

And to get the smiley faces, you just type them in and when you post the comment, they pop up. ;-)

  14. Mozartghost says:

I can also play the organ and accordion.

  15. Marina says:

    Wow! Do you take lessons?

  16. liv says:

    You play the accordion????!!!????
I play the Barotone At school, but I want to learn how to play the Guitar, piano, And either the accordion or the bagpipes
Anyway I like low bass because even though its backround Its still kool
P.S. I thinking about maybe playing the tuba

  17. Mozartghost says:

No I don’t take lessons. Except piano lessons…
Bass is very cool…especially if it plays lots of different notes within a song. In “The Hero Returns” (A composition I wrote) there is a very varied bass line. In “The Hero” (Another of mine) there is a very strong and awesome bass.
The Organ actually has the lowest bass of any instrument on the pedalboard (that you play with your feet) and the highness or lowness of any of the keyboards (octaves in pitch) is adjustable by organ stops.

  18. Marina says:

Wow! Ok, I couldn’t follow anything that had to do with the Organ. :)

  19. liv says:

Wow yeah I pretty sure if I ever need any help on anything bass I will contact you, Moz

  20. Mozartghost says:

    Did I mention I sing bass? :)

  21. liv says:

    Oh, well talkings kool to

  23. liv says:

  24. Marina says:
