While visiting so many schools and bookstores, many of the same questions pop up. One of them is about what my favorite Pendragon book is. Since it’s been asked so many times, I thought I’d answer that here.
Looking at it one way, I don’t have a favorite because they all seem like different chapters in one big story. But I can come up with a few that stand out for different reasons. The book that was the most fun to write was “The Never War” because I loved going back into real history and doing the research about a time and place that fascinate me.  The book that was the most difficult to write was “The Quillan Games”. Coming up with all of those wild games, creating the rules, and then having Bobby play them was grueling. I certainly don’t have a LEAST favorite book, though I can say that my least favorite cover was the one I call: “Bobby the Blue-Eyed Reindeer”.  Yeesh.
But favorite book? Now that they’re all complete and I can look back on the whole story, I guess maybe there is one that stands out. I think I like it because it had a little bit of all the books in it and it tied up the whole story in a way that I had always planned on, but was never sure that it would actually work. The fact that it did work is very satisfying. There were a few scenes in that book (I won’t mention them here because I don’t want to write spoilers) that actually get me choked up. More than a few scenes. It was an incredibly rewarding experience to tie together all the loose ends, answer all the questions, and complete an epic story. So under pressure, I would have to say that my favorite Pendragon book is The Soldiers of Halla.

I have a question that may seem random, and It’s for everyone who comment on D.J. Machales Website. Who is your Favorite Traveler, second favorite and third favorite.
My Favorite is Siry. Then Patrick, then Alder. Oh yeah, and if anyone replies to this, please put the reason why you like at least on of the three travelers. I’m gonna put the reason for Siry and Patrick.
I like Siry because he would be closer to my age that anyone else. He has the heart to be a traveler, but doesn’t believe in Saint Dane or Flumes. He is also smart and courages.
I like Patrick because he may be a teacher and a librian, but don’t be fooled by it. In Raven Rise when he was doing a high speed chase, he didn’t seem like a librairian. And I don’t want to be a librian or a teacher, but I have the knowledge for one and seem like I have something in common with him.
I feel I have stuff in common with both, Patrick is smart, so am I ( Not meaning to brag, but I’m the smartest in my class.) Siry, too is smart and he is young, I’m the youngest in my class, like he is with the travelers.

My favorite Pendragon book so far will have to be book 4, because when you think it is over for Saint Dane on Vellox, he takes you down a lane that you can’t get out of, but he manages to until the end, where he hits a dead end, and can’t do anything to get out of it, and loses Vellox, and has to get a new car (or zenzen) for Eelong (which i am curently reading, and half way through due to when school was in session, i couldn’t get a hold of the second book, but i could the fifth)

my second favorite traveler will have to be Bobby, because he is the leader of the travelers, and knows Saint Dane alot, like he can’t be too cautious, or uncouses of who he is on the territory that he is on.
my third favorite traveler is not a traveler, but an acolyte, who can travele (won’t explain if you are a person reading books 1-4, and i think that they are secretly travelers some how) he is Mark Dimond, because he is more adventures then what he seems to be, and knows all that Bobby knows, and can’t even do anything to stop it, due to he is Bobby’s BFF (best friend forever in girl talk) or BBFF (best boy friend forever in girl/boy talk).

Spaders MY favorite!!! He’s always soo happy and joyful… LIKE ME 😀 lol… my second favorite would be Bobby, because he’s the lead traveler. My third would be…. Kasha, or Loor. They’re both a fighter, a warrior, and if you mess with them, they’ll pummel you (like me, haha, I don’t like to be messed with, but if you get to know me and you’re nice to me then I’l be nice to you 🙂 )

I’m sorry if I ruined it. If you have not finished it. But this is some food for thought. The last chapter, which I am not going to explain to you what it is, may be a dream in your mind, it doesn’t have to be as it’s written, where Bobby and the Travelers do all the cool stuff, could be the oringinal life, not the last chapter as the oringinal life. It can be a dream to you from Bobby’s mind, or the truth. Sorry if you hate me now. I didn’t know people commenting on this subject haven’t read the last book.

I haven’t read it because i didn’t know the books EXISTED until 2 weeks left of school, on Friday, and I am curently waiting to go to the book store tommorow to get the sixth book (the rivers of Zadaa), and today i nearly went on a river in Florida called Black Water, and I think that the fifth book’s place, Black Water, is based on the river, but instead of going on Black Water, i went on Cold Creek on the seven miler, and it was LONG! luckily, i was not one of the rafts that the people where on (which looks like a donut, i just forgot the name of what it is called), and they started after us, and we beat them!!

my favorite pendragon book would have to be book one, even though the books farther in the series wher more in detail and had more action in them, i feel like the first book introduced me to bobby very well unlike the other books

yeah i’d have to say my favorite traveler is… AARGH! i like them all! i’d have to say Spader, Loor and then Kasha.
Spader because i like a character that has an interesting and funny personality. like they always try and show the good things out of bad situations. Loor because characters that never back down no matter what just are interesting to me. and Loor is sometimes funny on what she does, like she’s always tense at times. then Kasha because i like that she’s a big cat animal. (kind of) so it kind of shows something different cuz every other traveler is human. also i think she is cool and strong. 🙂

That’s the reason I don’t like her. She’s not human, she doesn’t understand like we do. Plus she didn’t last long in the series. 5 and 10 book is the only one she was in.

I really like Gunny though, Spader just acts on emotes a lot in the beginning, and it was getting old. But he did help a lot in the 5th book.

My favorite travalers would have to be Gunny, Aja, and Patrick. Gunny becuase I like that he’s to good a person to shoot a gun at anyone, Aja becuase of her incredible intellect, and patrick becuase of the fact that he lived in like the perfect future.

Snazzy. If Gunnys life were in danger he couldn’t shoot someone, but he can sacrifice about thirty people in the third book.

First of all N. the only reason Gunny let that happen was becuase that was the history was supposed to play out, If he didnt second and third earth would have got nuked by Nazi Germany and became hell on earth!!! So gunny was just looking at the bigger picture.

Gunny had a REAL good reason to let the hindenburg explode after he saw the alternate future on Third Earth.
Pendragon was too weak.
Too impulsive.
Too emotional.
Too Human.
Gunny, on the other hand, thought it through logically.
