While visiting so many schools and bookstores, many of the same questions pop up. One of them is about what my favorite Pendragon book is. Since it’s been asked so many times, I thought I’d answer that here.
Looking at it one way, I don’t have a favorite because they all seem like different chapters in one big story. But I can come up with a few that stand out for different reasons. The book that was the most fun to write was “The Never War” because I loved going back into real history and doing the research about a time and place that fascinate me.  The book that was the most difficult to write was “The Quillan Games”. Coming up with all of those wild games, creating the rules, and then having Bobby play them was grueling. I certainly don’t have a LEAST favorite book, though I can say that my least favorite cover was the one I call: “Bobby the Blue-Eyed Reindeer”.  Yeesh.
But favorite book? Now that they’re all complete and I can look back on the whole story, I guess maybe there is one that stands out. I think I like it because it had a little bit of all the books in it and it tied up the whole story in a way that I had always planned on, but was never sure that it would actually work. The fact that it did work is very satisfying. There were a few scenes in that book (I won’t mention them here because I don’t want to write spoilers) that actually get me choked up. More than a few scenes. It was an incredibly rewarding experience to tie together all the loose ends, answer all the questions, and complete an epic story. So under pressure, I would have to say that my favorite Pendragon book is The Soldiers of Halla.

why do u guys hate twighkight so much it was a good book but the movies are kinda suckish.but the book is cool…though i havent read it in a while so maybe i should read it agian before i judge…… i think dj should direct the pendragon movies it would be kool.but so much could go wrong if someone else makes the movie.(sorry 4 long post)

you guys should be more respectful to dj’s opinions. he is older and he’s the one who made Pendragon and MR. if he doesn’t want a movie then there won’t be a movie. and so Mozartghost and Cloralfan if you will not respect dj’s opinions i think that you should leave this site and never go on it again. and dj might just come and find you. he is older than you and he does have more resources.

my fav. book is probably the first one or maybe the 4th one because i don’t get technology that much. maybe the 3rd one cause i LOVE history. i watch the history channel on our tv everyday it seems. KEEP ON THIS TOPIC OF FAV. BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in love with the pendragon series!! They’re by far the best written books!! I am about to read the soldiers of Halla but so far I have to say my favourite book is raven rise. I have to say though my least favourite book from the series (not that I don’t like it, it’s just I don’t like the ending) is Black water. This is because Spader is my favourite character, he’s so cool!!!!! And at the end, (spoiler warning) when he and Gunny are trapped on Eelong, I was sooooo annoyed because I thought spader was gone!! 🙁 That’s also part of the reason my favourite book us Raven Rise (another spoiler warning) because Spader comes back at the end!! YAY!!! But I also like Raven Rise because it’s like the “climax” of the series. It’s seems as though the travellers have lost and Saint Dane has won, but obviously that’s probably not the case… I also like raven rise because (spoiler warning) of the mystery of the dissapearence/death of Mark and Courtney through the flume. Great series though, the best on my opinion!! I wish you would make them into movies though! They’d be great if you made specific requests and stuff!! But that’s your choice D.J.!! Even though Cloral is my favourite territory, Raven Rise is still my favourite book.
