How Shannon drew Marshall Seaver

A very talented reader created an illustration of Marsh and I thought it would be fun to post it.  I think she’s great.

  2. ilovependragon says:

that’s really good. but i have a few questions. 1- why is his arm and hand bloody? 2- why is he wearing a mask? and 3- why is he crouching? i don’t remember picturing Marsh like that either.

  3. liv says:

    whos marsh??????

  4. liv says:

But kool drawing I cant draw that good
Mine would come out looking like a fuffy blob in teddy bear form!!!!

  5. Mikayla says:

    yeah, its pretty good.

im drawing him right now, too. i might put it up.

  6. Mike says:

That’s really cool. Is that thing on the ground the, uh… *cough spoiler alet! cough spoiler alert! cough* … the golden ball (otherwise known as the “Cruicible”)? I wonder. Very cool.

Uh, ilovependragon, the “mask” is just the shadows. The blood on his arm, I think, is somehow assosiacted with the golden shards on the ground. Not too sure. I think he was crouched in one part, of the book, though I can’t remember where. I might have been *again, spoiler alert* when he was in the backyard of Coopers house, when he was fighting Hatty (trying not to say too much about the plot :P), near the pool? I don’t know if I am right or wrong.

You must know, DJ. Was Marshal crouched down at any point in the first book? (Or maybe even the second, as a kinda spoiler tee hee. Or is this in the wrong section for spoilers? ^_^ )

My sister said Morpheus Road was scary.
It didn’t really scare me…but I finished it last night and it was very exiting. It would make a good movie…
    G R A V E D I G G E R is cool!
The “Illusion” thing makes it more realistic than most “scary stories”.

  9. liv says:

I think I might read it but I’m still deciding

  10. Mozartghost says:

I finally got the chance to watch the video and it was awesome!
The music….uhhh….but the picture of Marsh was outstanding!!
I know a guy who can draw that good…
I could probably do the outline, but shading and tinting (using a color gradient) have never been my strong point.
    Shannon’s color gradients were awesome!
Buy the way…where was the cursor when she was drawing?

  11. liv says:

I love to write songs too! I just always have such a hard time with the music. The lyrics come to me easily but I’m always stuck with the melody! It drives me insane!

  22. liv says:

i dont write songs if i did lets just say my dog would run out the door with its between its legs

  23. Marina says:

    😀 I’ll bet that’s a bit of an exaggeration!

  24. liv says:

ok it would be my brother running out with his tail behind his legs

  25. Mozartghost says:

    Your brother has a tail?!
Oh and I’m REALLY good at the melody and chords but I couldn’t write lyrics to save my life.
I’ve only finished ONE song with lyrics so far…

  26. liv says:

    well no
but you get what im saying
I could maybe write a fair melody, but lyrics would be horrible

  27. Mozartghost says:

    I can write a fugue.
    Look it up.

  28. Marina says:

Yeah, I know what that means. Pretty cool! I’ve written a few in my head but never put them down on paper.

  29. liv says:

    a what???!!!???

  30. liv says:

    you have totally lost me!!!

  31. Marina says:

    Lol! 😀

  32. liv says:

    yeah very!!!

  33. Mozartghost says:

So Marina you know music theory?
Here’s Wikipedia’s Definition of a fugue for all of you too lazy to look it up. 🙂

In music, a fugue (pronounced /ˈfjuːɡ/ fyoog) is a contrapuntal composition in two or more voices, built on a subject (theme) that is introduced at the beginning in imitation and recurs frequently in the course of the composition. In addition to this broad general contrapuntal design, certain formal characteristics are well established. A fugue usually has three sections: an exposition, a development, and a recapitulation containing the return of the subject in the fugue’s tonic key, though not all fugues have a recapitulation. In the Middle Ages, the term was widely used to denote any works in canonic style; by the Renaissance, it had come to denote specifically imitative works. Since the 17th century, the term fugue has described what is commonly regarded as the most fully developed procedure of imitative counterpoint. A fugue opens with one main theme, the subject, which then sounds successively in each voice in imitation; when each voice has entered, the exposition is complete; this is rarely followed by a connecting passage, or episode, developed from previously heard material; further “entries” of the subject then are heard in related keys. Episodes (if applicable) and entries are usually alternated until the “final entry” of the subject, by which point the music has returned to the opening key, or tonic, which is often followed by closing material, the coda. In this sense, fugue is a style of composition, rather than fixed structure. Though there are certain established practices, in writing the exposition for example, composers approach the style with varying degrees of freedom and individuality.

Yes and I wrote two of those for the String Quartet.
    That’s 4 voices each.
Both in D minor because D minor is awesome.

  34. liv says:

    ok i repeat
    ???!!!???a what???!!!???
Its basicly a song type thing of some sort or another but with voices

  35. liv says:

  40. Mozartghost says:

  41. Marina says:

    Yes! Please do! I’m confused.

  42. liv says:

    Elucidate?? what is that???

  43. liv says:

oh and stop using such big words

  44. Mozartghost says:

It means please clarify what you just said.

  45. liv says:

you write in a way that you would talk and so in the way you talk i can tell even by not meeting you that you are a guy and before you mentioned that you were a brother which means your a guy so my theory was correct
