We all have irrational fears, not to mention rational ones. Me? I don’t do well with snakes, but they pretty much fall into the rational variety. Anything that can sneak up on you and deliver a lethal bite is worthy of my terror.
Of the irrational sort, I am afraid of clowns. In a big way. I’m a classic Bozo-phobe. I can even trace it back to an incident when I was about two years old and was taken to see a movie in a theater for the very first time. It was a matinee, back in the day when parents would drop kids off for the afternoon, unsupervised. Basically, it was anarchy. In between the Huey, Dewey and Louie cartoon and The Shaggy Dog, a special live appearance was made by Clarabell the clown. For those who don’t know, Clarabell was Howdy Doody’s sidekick. He didn’t speak (a particularly strange affectation embraced by some clowns) and only communicated through the honking of various horns. So this creep comes charging down the aisle, the kids go ballistic, and my brain exploded.
So it may be an irrational fear, but at least I have an excuse.

IT’S LIKE I HAVE SOME HORMONE(i don’t know how to spell it) THAT ATTRACKS THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THEY DON’T NESSACARILY GIVE ME BIG WELTS BUT MY WHOLE ARM, for example, WILL SWELL UP HALF WAY IF I GET MORE THAN TWO BITES ON THAT SAME ARM AND USUALLY I DO!!!!!!!!!!! Hey um well, wasn’t Bobby afraid of those two things? IDK if anyone has said this already, but I clearly remember in The Rivers Of Zadaa, Bobby said he was afraid of snakes and, in The Quillan Games, Bobby said that the clowns creeped him out. Just pointing it out to my fellow Pendragon fanatics.

I am deathly afraid of clowns and dolls. I saw a clown on the street and he waved at me, I stood there hyperventilating while someone was waving back and talking to them. I’m especially afraid of clowns with red hair. It just looks like they killed a kid and soaked the wig in the blood. Dolls scare me too. I thought I saw a doll move when I was in my down stairs and I ran up to my bedroom screaming like a little girl.

Well, ‘lead traveler’. The reason little girls play with dools is because the one they play with Barbies. Not those really old dolls made out of glass that scare me. And they don’t know what dolls can do to them. If they knew they wouldn’t be playing with miss Barbie any more. I have had a very bad experience with dolls. When I was like 5, my grandma gave a ragady ann doll to me. I didn’t like so I kicked across the room. The same night when I was trying to get to sleep, my sister had the doll walk in the room with her crawling on the ground behind it. She said ‘ I didn’t like it when you kicked me, now you shall pay.’. I screamed and threw my pillow at it. I wasn’t the only one who had the doll come into their room. My other two sisters had the same experience. So I have a reason to be afraid of dolls.

well, i think girls play with Barbies is because they all go through the stage when they loove them. i know i did. it only lasted for about 2 years, then i tore some of their heads off, which was fun. but they came back to haunt me so now i think that girls who play with Barbies and dolls are very brave.
