Pendragon Movie Blog

I had a request to start a blog where you could weigh in on thoughts about a movie based on The Merchant of Death and to discuss casting. This isn’t to say that a movie is imminent. It isn’t. But I’m working with some folks to develop one now, so you never know. (Just don’t hold your breath!)

So, here’s the blog. Have fun.

    okay, well i realize i am REALLY off topic from the conversation…
    BUT… i must say
    I WILL PAY A THOUSAND DOLLARS TO SEE A PENDRAGON MOVIE.
    THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO KEEP ME FROM SEEING IT….
    sooo…
    if it is not ever made.
    i might die.
    because Pendragon and Morpheus Road
    are my life.

    @IWannaMarryMarsh88

    Yeah, I’m really hoping a Pendragon movie will get made too. Being such a big fan, I can’t imagine how exciting and great it would be 😀

    *crosses fingers*

  6. Dodger says:

    @Challenger Black

    Agreed. They’ve got to make a movie!

    Black Water is my favorite book in the series. Have fun reading it. 🙂

  12. EelongCatfolk says:

    Well, welcome back to those of you who are returning ^-^
    Yes, they really should make a Pendragon movie. It would be EPIC!!! Even with all the variables to consider (such as who to cast for the characters, how many movies to make and how they’re going to fit all the books into them, how they’re going to create all the special effects (which, in this age of technology, shouldn’t be too hard), and so on.)

  13. Challenger Black says:

    @EelongCatfolk

    Agreed. They’ve got to make a movie! It’ll be so amazing if done well. I’m just waiting for the day (hopefully it’ll be soon) when we get the announcement that a movie is on the way. On that day, I’ll be screaming, “Hobey ho…let’s GO!” 🙂

  14. Dodger says:

    @EelongCatfolk and Challenger Black

    I second that!

  15. EelongCatfolk says:

    @Challenger Black and Dodger
    I’ll be right there with ya!!!!

  16. EelongCatfolk says:

    Crazy idea came to my mind (crazy people come up with crazy ideas XD) that we could make a Pendragon movie (to an extent) if we could all get together to give them something to go off of.

  17. EelongCatfolk says:

    That’s been floating around my head for a while XD But I think we could make a movie faster (maybe) and more accurately (definitely) than they would (without someone (i.e. a Pendragon fan/fanbase) there to help them) The only thing we’d be missing would be the special effects, unless someone here knows how to do that kind of thing (I could probably figure it out, but it might not look as good as a professional would make.) Like I said, a crazy idea from a crazy mind XD

  18. EelongCatfolk says:

    Sorry, sometimes I come up with things that I feel I just have to share with people lol

  19. EelongCatfolk says:

    I hate weekends for the reason that most of the time (unless it’s for homework) I can’t get on a computer >-< Over Christmas break I won't be able to get on a computer (going to visit relatives) until probably the 27th.

  20. EelongCatfolk says:

    Sorry I’m posting so much. It’s a combination of me ranting, using a very small keyboard (leading to posting before I finish a thought), and thinking of other things to add after I post something ^-^’

  21. Batu warrior says:

    @ Eelong Catfolk, Challenger Black and Dodger
    I third that 🙂

  22. Anna says:

    @ EelongCatfolk
    I’ve wanted to make my own version of Merchant of Death for years! I’ve even picked out people I know to be the characters. I must be crazy too.

  23. Courtney Chetwynde says:

    Since the news i have been obssesed with the same thing. Though i would love to direct and that is sooo what im schedualing for when i get to pick my elective

  24. EelongCatfolk says:

    Sounds like we’ve got a plan, then XD

  25. Challenger Black says:

    Sounds spiff 🙂

  26. EelongCatfolk says:

    It’s official, I have a concussion.

  27. EelongCatfolk says:

    Just went to the doctor yesterday to get checked and he said I have a mild concussion and that I need to avoid activities that have a high risk of head injury for a few weeks. Which means no gym >-<

  28. Challenger Black says:

    @EelongCatfolk

    That’s a bummer.

  29. EelongCatfolk says:

    Yeah. I got knocked into a brick wall while playing basketball in gym (go figure), what else is new XD lol seriously almost every time I go to the nurse’s office during gym, it’s because I got hurt while playing basketball XD

  30. Challenger Black says:

    @EelongCatfolk

    Ouch…that would hurt! But I guess it’s almost impossible to avoid some sort of injury during sports with all the running around and whatnot.

  31. EelongCatfolk says:

    Yeah lol

  32. Challenger Black says:

    Hard to believe it’s almost Christmas. Can’t wait to dig into turkey and mashed potatoes 🙂

  33. Justin Shadixx says:

    I love how off topic this has gotten..

  34. Batu warrior says:

    I just saw New Years Eve, (The movie lol) It was amazing. And depressing. Lot’s of things make me feel depressed around christmas… Which is pretty sad…. Sigh…..

  35. Batu warrior says:

    But it was more amazing then depressing lol……

  36. Courtney Chetwynde says:

    @eelon catfolk

    Same with me except i refuse to go to the nurses during gym. Last year everytime i played basketball i got hit in either the face or the back of the head with something. Once my friend slapped me in the face because he was to short to reach above my head. Another time my friend fell on top of me and my other friend tanner had to help me up akward!

  37. Batu warrior says:

    And I was doing pretty good at not saying dumb random things, and there I go again!

  38. EelongCatfolk says:

    @Courtney
    You sure deserve the nickname Courtney lol

    I could have stayed and continued to play, but I HAD to go to the nurse’s office because I was bleeding pretty good. I would have been fine with just the Band-Aid, but I was given an ice pack because of some swelling. I could have kept playing after getting washed up and getting the Band-Aid on my head, but no, I had to sit out the rest of the day >-< I'm like a tank, I can take a hit. Sure, I get hurt easily, but I can take the hit and keep going. I got hit by two cars and had my arm spontaneously combust within five minutes and I just kept walking (that's a funny story to tell later).

    @Batu Warrior
    I say dumb random things all the time. One time, while I was taking an ACT test, I almost started singing Caramelldansen out loud XD Luckily I was able to stop myself, or I would have been kicked out.

    @Justin Shadixx
    IKR lol XD It happens a lot lol

    @Challenger Black
    I agree, it IS hard to believe it's almost Christmas, especially up in North Dakota. We're going to have a brown Christmas!!! IN NORTH DAKOTA!!!!!! WTH!?! It's either global warming, or it's because the climate changed when that major earthquake that hit Japan a while ago shifted the Earth's axis by a few degrees. But in three days I turn 18!!!!!!! So excited!!!! ^-^

  39. EelongCatfolk says:

    Wow, that was a long post ^-^’

  40. Batu warrior says:

    @ Eelong Catfolk
    Thats happens to me too! Yeah I like don’t feel pain anymore, I did gymnastics, I’m sure I’ve said this before, and they yelled at you if you felt sick and wanted to sit down. And you had to keep running if you hurt your ankle. My friends would like throw up, then keep working. One time, at a meet, I got like an 8.99 on the bars, and I was so mad! Then my coach made me do fifty pushups, and I cried in front of everyone. I quit that year.

  41. Batu warrior says:

    oh yeah and a week from today I turn thirteen 🙂

  42. EelongCatfolk says:

    @Batu Warrior
    I’m sorry to hear about the gymnastics D: Happy (early) Birthday ^-^!!!!! (In case I don’t get to say it closer to the actual day)

  43. Holly says:

    @ EelongCatfolk and Batu Warrior

    Happy Early Birthday! Do you like having birthdays right around Christmas time?! Mine’s in exactly one month!!! 😀

  44. Courtney Chetwynde says:

    @batu warrior
    Mines in 17 days

    @eelong catfolk
    Youve got to tell that story

    Ya i twirl baton and yesterday my friend carlynn was supposed to throw the baton over my head to my other friend abby and instead of doing that it landed on my head. Oddly enough i ended up with a bigger bruise on my knee from diving for the baton then gettin hit!

  45. Batu warrior says:

    @ Eelong Catfolk and Holly
    Thanks! I can’t wait. And happy early birthday to you too Eelong Catfolk. Yeah and you really gotta tell that story lol.
    @ Courtney Chetwynde
    We all have pretty close birthdays. And the baton thing, sounds like something my friends would do…. 🙂

  46. EelongCatfolk says:

    @Batu warrior, Courtney, & Holly
    Thanks ^-^ and Merry Christmas!!!! And I agree with Batu Warrior, Courtney, the baton thing sounds like something my friends would do, too XD

    lol alright, I’ll tell the story. About a year ago, I was walking back to school during my lunch (half)hour after going to a nearby café for an Italian soda. It was winter (with snow/ice on the ground, unlike this year.) I was crossing the street (the walk light was on) when a Corvet (not sure I spelled that right; didn’t know what year model it was) came down the street. The driver tried to stop, but slid on a patch of ice and ran into me. I was knocked into the air but landed on my feet. I continued walking, when the driver got out of the car and (like a concerned person would be like after hitting someone) asked, “Are you all right? Are you alright?” I answered, “Yeah, I’m fine.” He said, “I’m so sorry I hit you. Are you sure you’re alright?” It was getting really annoying, but I answered calmly, “Yes, I’m sure I’m fine. It was an accident, I know how icy roads can be.” He said, “Here, let me call an ambulance.” I was running out of time to get to class on time, and I was getting severely annoyed with the whole “Oh my gosh, I just hit you with my car let me call an ambulance so they can check you out and say that you’re in shock and that you need to take it easy there’s nothing we can do about it” routine, so I lost control of my temper for a moment and shouted, “I’M FINE. I DON’T NEED AN AMBULANCE, I’M NOT IN SHOCK. I WAS A TENDERFOOT IN BOYSCOUTS, I WOULD KNOW IF I WAS OR NOT. JUST LEAVE ME ALONE SO I CAN GET TO CLASS ON TIME!!!!!” and I walked away, leaving him, and some bystanders, with a look that said, “WTF!?! That kid just got hit by a car moving at 25 miles/hour and he’s worried about being late to class? WTH!?!” At the next crosswalk (I had to cross two streets to get two the café (eat your heart out, chicken XD)) I was crossing the street (again with the “Walk” light on, and still annoyed (and slightly PO’ed) from the previous incident) when another car (a mustang I believe) came speeding down the street. I don’t think the driver saw the red light, and judging by how far I was sent through the air, I’d say he was going about 45 m/h. Anyway, I was halfway across the street, I turned in time to see the car coming and to think ‘You have got to be kidding me.’ and then BANG!! I was knocked about five feet into the air and sent a good seven feet away before I hit the ground and slide a couple three feet more across the ground (ground, not ice.) I got up, brushed myself off and was about to continue on to school when the driver got out and (a bit more frantic than the first driver (I’m guessing because I was knocked to my feet and knocked so far away)) did the same thing the first driver did, except he didn’t get very far before I (still annoyed and angry at the first driver, and a bit more so now after getting hit) yelled, “I AM FINE. LEAVE ME THE H&!! ALONE SO I CAN GET TO CLASS ON TIME!!!!” I stormed off, leaving him and a few more bystanders with the same expression (eyes wide and staring, mouth hanging open, a completely stunned (much more so; using those words for lack of better ones) look) pasted to their faces. A few steps later, I smelled something burning. I stopped walking, looked down at my arms, and saw that my left arm was on fire. First thought that ran through my head, ‘I hope this won’t make me late.’ I just looked at the flame a couple seconds more, then just dipped my arm in some snow, and walked on. I got to school with seven minutes to spare. I sat down at a table with my friends, and one of them asked, “Why do you smell like you were lit on fire?” I put my head down on the table and sighed, “Don’t ask.”

  47. EelongCatfolk says:

    wow that took a while

  48. Courtney Chetwynde says:

    @eelong catfolk

    Wow!!!! Thats a weird story
    I have nothing that can match that at all….. Though my little sis can probably she seriously needs a bubble

  49. Batu warrior says:

    @ Eelong Catfolk
    The first thought I had after reading that was, Whaaaa???? How is this real??? You know this sounds like it could be in a movie. And your like the Jackie Chan of it. I also thought about how this guy at my church was hit by two cars, and smashed his leg. It had to be amputated, and then it got like infected, then they had to amputate it more, and that’s a long story, he told it to our youth group.
