I had a request to start a blog where you could weigh in on thoughts about a movie based on The Merchant of Death and to discuss casting. This isn’t to say that a movie is imminent. It isn’t. But I’m working with some folks to develop one now, so you never know. (Just don’t hold your breath!)
So, here’s the blog. Have fun.

Then it goes back to Mark, who has just reached his destination. (idk if it should show the ring getting bigger and the journal appearing in this scene or later)
He is huddled in the corner, with carrots strewn all over the ground and the journal in his lap. He begins to read(we see this from his viewpoint): “Mark, I hope you’re reading this.”
When the journal gets to the part where Bobby starts to tell him about what happened on the fateful day that Uncle Press takes him away,the scene then dissolves into Bobby, playing with Marley outside his house and the movie progresses from there.
If you have any ideas…or want to edit mine, you’re free to do so. Just post them and I’ll read them.
Thx 4 reading this! It was great of you guys to take the time to read it π
’til next time π
SilverMisty says:
I meant when Bobby starts to tell ***Mark
(sorry if it seems sorta confusing)

@ SilverMisty
I like it! I could never figure out a good way to start the Pendragon movie. But I liked yours a lot. Yay! It’s finally my birthday! I’m thirteen! π
Challenger Black says:
@Batu warrior
Happy 13th birthday! *raises a mug of sniggers* π
@SilverMisty
That’s awesome. I’ve always felt pretty open as to how they could start the movie, you know, since they could be pretty creative with it and all.
SilverMisty says:
Thx π
@Batu Warrior: Happy B-day!
Hope you have an awesome year!
Courtney Chetwynde says:
Happy birthday batu warrior
SilverMisty says:
@Courtney: I have a great quote…
Γ’β¬ΕAs I stood there, looking into the eyes of the Travelers, something happened. For each one of those brief moments, I reconnected with a true friend. Though no words were exchanged, they were each telling me the same thing. They were with me.”
—Bobby Pendragon
(you can make it shorter if you want)
SilverMisty says:
Hey guys!
just wondering…how did you put the avatar picture?
Challenger Black says:
@SilverMisty
You go to gravtar.com and use an e-mail that will allow you to choose an avatar and that should do the trick.
Challenger Black says:
@SilverMisty
Oops. That’s supposed to be gravatar.com.
Batu Warrior says:
Thanks for the happy birthdays π I feel like I should go look in the books for a quote now…
SilverMisty says:
@ Challenger Black:
Does it work on this website?
SilverMisty says:
Oh… nvm
Thanks π
Challenger Black says:
@SilverMisty
Cool avatar π
SilverMisty says:
π
So what’s up?
Sorry i’m multitasking…
SilverMisty says:
@Batu Warrior: Found any good quotes yet?
(or did you end up reading the book since you can’t resist?—i did that before) π
Challenger Black says:
I think I’ll go find myself a quote and report back when I find one. I might pick a few though, since there’s so many good ones π
SilverMisty says:
do you want a funny quote? (have one here)
“Hello, Pendragon,” Bokka said. “What tribe do you come from?”
Γ’β¬Β¦
“Yankees,” I said. “The Yankees tribe.” Hey, what can I say? It was the first thing that came to mind. “It’s a strong tribe,” I added. “Respected by allΓ’β¬Β¦except for our mortal enemies, the Sox tribe. They hate us. Especially Red ones. Cannibals. Nasty characters.”
Flune Surfer says:
@Batu Warrior
Happy Birthday!!
@SilverMisty
I think your idea is great! What if the movie starts off with Osa approaching Mark and giving him the ring. Then, (like what you said about the ring glowing brighter) the titlecomes up showing different territories, and suddenly it all fades to darkness and Bobby’s voice narrates the first few sentences of the journal. It shows Bonny getting ready for the game then Courtney comes. Things could play out from there, switching off to Mark and Courtney learning more and more about Bobby’s adventure.
I didn’t mean to change things so much…sorry. Just wanted to give more ideas for Dj…
Challenger Black says:
Here’s a few quotes. Still so many great ones though π
“I’m the terrorist. Do what I say or I’ll terrorize you.” – Bobby
“At least I thought it was a wall. It sure felt like one. It was hard. It was flat. It stretched out on either side of me. You know…wall.” – Bobby
“Looks like it’s time to liven up this dead little town!” – Saint Dane
“What exactly is a french before it’s fried?” – Spader
Mark and Gunny turned away, totally embarrassed. “So?” Gunny asked Mark. “How ’bout them Yankees?”
Flune Surfer says:
Haha, loved that part of Black Water. Sorry, I was reading Older Comments when I posted what’s above.
Challenger Black says:
Here’s one I forgot! One of my favorites from Press π
Uncle Press turned to me and with the sincerity of a sage teacher imparting golden words of wisdom, he said, “There are no problems, only challenges.”
Flune Surfer says:
I like this quote..
Press- “I know it’s hard to fathom because yo’re looking at things from the perspective of someone from one of those worlds. From Earth. This isn’t excactly something that’s taught at school.”
Bobby-“Yeah, I must have missed that class,”
-The Soldiers of Halla
BuggyReality says:
Happy bday Batu Warrior :). Hmm, I don’t have my books near me right now but one that’s stuck in my head from reading book 6 a while back is “Oh, those wacky kids”. Bobby says it to himself when Loor tells him how she and that Rokador guy drove in those tunneling machines when they were kids. I don’t know why but I laughed so hard when I read that part. π
Flune Surfer says:
typo, sorry
SilverMisty says:
wait…sorry. that might have been sort of offensive to a Sox fan.
here’s another two instead:
Mark asked Courtney, “When did you learn how to drive?”
“Long time ago,” she answered casually, putting the car in gear.
“How long?”
“About three seconds.”
She hit the gas and the car lurched forward. With a squeal of tires on asphalt, and we were off. Before we cleared the opening of the stone wall in front of the place, I took a quick look back to see two of Naymeer’s guards running toward a pair of motorcycles.
I hoped that Courtney had learned a lot about driving in those three seconds.
SilverMisty says:
2. Spader: “I never would have believed it was possible for people to fly.”
“You’re kidding!” said Jinx with surprise. “Where do you live, under a rock?”
“No,” answered Spader. “Under the water most of the time, but I’m not sure what that’s got to do with it.”
BuggyReality says:
That Yankees quote is a good one. π
BuggyReality says:
Cool, there is actually a bunch of us on so we can talk π
Challenger Black says:
Hobey! That’s awesome π
And yeah, the Yankees quotes get me every time.
BuggyReality says:
We should also do morpheus road quotes.
Challenger Black says:
@BuggyReality
That’s a good idea, especially since The Blood is almost here and all.
BuggyReality says:
Ooh i got one.
BuggyReality says:
“Right,” I replied. “‘Keep his freakin’ mouth shut.’ Do I have to drop the g in freaking?”
– the light
Challenger Black says:
@BuggyReality
Haha! Love that one π
Flume Surfer says:
I’ve only read The Light. Is The Black good?
Here’s a cool quote…
“It wasn’t hard to find George O.’s house.
If you call it that. The guy lived in a trailer thathad been jacked op and put on cement blocks. It was a mobile home that was no longer moble.”
BuggyReality says:
Yeah, that one made me laugh. Can’t wait for book 3 π If a Pendragon character does make an appearance then that would be awesome. I have a theory that those illusions that the citizens of the black make for themselves ( like maggie’s house and barn) are the way that the travelers live their lives as if they had never become travelers. Sorry if there are any grammar mistakes, I’m just super excited over the idea of that book.
Flume Surfer says:
Opps, i have more typos. Sorry guys, whats up w/ me?
BuggyReality says:
@ Flume Surfer
The black is awesome espescially as you see how Coop’s story affects Marsh’s.
BuggyReality says:
No problem, it’s hard to type right when excited π
Flume Surfer says:
Yeah, that was cool that Mark’s name was mentioned in The Light.
Flume Surfer says:
Really? Aw, I might go buy it!
BuggyReality says:
Yep, interesting to know Mark’s secret life as an employee of a trophy shop.
Challenger Black says:
@BuggyReality
I agree. That’s what I was thinking. And it would be awesome if a Pendragon character made an appearance. If I had to guess which would appear, I’m guessing it would be Press. If he does, that’ll be wicked cool! π
Can’t wait to read The Blood!
Challenger Black says:
@Flume Surfer
Yeah, The Black is amazing. I absolutely loved it. The Light was great, but of the two, The Black is my favorite π
BuggyReality says:
Any of the travelers would be able to stop Damon π Hopefully, it’s Loor though so we can save some time.
Flume Surfer says:
Yeah, I love scary stories. AND, my fav. author makes them too! If you like kind of creepy, kind of wierd books, you shold read The Compound by S.A Bodeen. It has a mystery kind of thing to it.
Flume Surfer says:
Loor kicks butt!!!!!!! LOL
BuggyReality says:
OH MAN. What if Saint Dane went to the blood when he was defeated and we see him in book3!
Flume Surfer says:
@ Challenger Black
The Black is about Cooper, right? When he goes down the Morpheus Road… am I wrong?
