I had a request to start a blog where you could weigh in on thoughts about a movie based on The Merchant of Death and to discuss casting. This isn’t to say that a movie is imminent. It isn’t. But I’m working with some folks to develop one now, so you never know. (Just don’t hold your breath!)

Alright. There is alot of people wanting the movie to be made already. If I remember correctly, in a video DJ said that he didn’t want there to be movies because movies are never like the books and the movies ruin the books. He is probably working with the guys and seeing how they will make the movie and all that junk and if there is no movie, then he didn’t like something they wanted to do. I am very excited that this series might become a movie series too, and I will be at every premiere if there is. But stop bugging him about it and don’t get too excited.

Spader was roughly two years older than Pendragon, yes. So if they made a movie of the first book, and it DID get good enough reviews and made enough money that they made a second movie, a 16 year old would be very good for Spader. Don’t forget the nationalities though, Spader looked sort of Asian, with slanted eyes. So if D.J. Machale decides to have fan auditions (Which I think would be great), then a lot of people who may want to be Mr. Vo Spader couldn’t, unless they’re Asian, or close enough to it.
No matter who says what, I am a firm believer that Pendragon WILL be made into a movie. It’d make all the better (SO much better) if it was D.J. Machale himself who directed it.
Pendragon is a very moving series, and I loved it when I started reading it about 3 years ago or so. I still love it today, I just finished reading 1-10 all the way through for the third time. :3 If D.J. Machale turned it into a movie series, I’m sure it would end up being my favorite movie series ever, as Pendragon is my favorite book series. It may seem even a little obsessive (Oh well. 😉 ), but in any online game I play, or anything I sign up for and I need a screen name, my name is Pendragon. Always. 🙂
Thank you very much, D.J. Machale for writing this series. I’m going to pick up a copy of Morpheus Road soon to try it out. I’m sure it’ll be great as well.

I feel strongly about him having fan auditions for a Pendragon movie, because they would bring more of the Pendragon spirit to the movie/TV series. It would feel better than someone who hasn’t read the series, or has but doesn’t care as much for it.
I am definitely a die-hard fan of Pendragon. I love it. I would love to be a part of the movie. I think if people who have read it over and over again and love it as much as I do were part of the movie, but were also good actors and looked the part, they would be more than perfect for the parts.
Just my two cents.

Yeah, I’m a die-hard fan as well, have read the books numerous times, absolutely love them, and would love to have the opportunity to try out for a role. It would be great for those who love the books and characters and would give them a chance at becoming part of the movie.

I’m deffinitly a die-hard pendragon fan to. I would love to be able to be Aja Killian in the tv/movie. Because I look like her minus the blond hair but I would quickly di my hair to have the part. Even though I’m only 13 and aja was 15. By the time they make the first 3 movies I’ll be 16 and then I’ll be the rout age and I can always play younger. Also I’m alot like Aja in real life cause my friends call me a brainiac and I have a short temper with peopl who seem oblivious or who I don’t think should be in charge. So I would love to be Aja

hi. I’m really into the Pendragon series but I’m still reading. you guys have read the series over a few times but I’m still reading the Pilgrims of Rayne on my kindle. I really love the series so far, and I think it would be really cool to see it on the big screen but the only thing I’m worried about is that like all movies based off of books, that it will change some of the things from the book. I wouldn’t mind some small changes because those are unavoidable. what do you guys think?

also, if you guys think you will be such great actors, how do you know that you can go to the screenings? you have no idea where they’ll be! I want to be in the movie as much as the next guy, but how do you know they wont use some movie star? there are plenty out there.

I’m not trying to be mean though, cause like I said, I want to be in the movie as much as the next guy though I don’t think I’ll make the roll, I think I would be a great Bobby, I’m 13 but, by the time the movie starts to be filmed, I should be 14. I like how all of you guys have so much hope to be in the movie, and, if what you guys are saying is true you sound like better competition than a lot of people I know. I’m sure if the movie is made you’ll have a shot be being filmed. so, I sure hope that I can make it and that a lot of you can make it cause you sound like you’re really gonna get the part!

yea, but you know movies, there are small changes that a lot of people don’t even see. plus I’m sure that makeup can get rid of that problem. movie magic is what makes a movie seem real!

Ya I guess im just over phsyced about a movie. I would love to play courtney or Aja but I’m not sure the odds are about 1 in a thousand. I bet if there are fan auditions then about 20,000 people will audition for Courtney and Aja. But I’m definitely going to try my hardest to get the role if possible. If not then maybe I could be an extra, I just want to contribute to the movie more than anything in the world

YuP ya I take math at a university 2 times a week with a bunch of kids going into 9th grade. I’ve already learned trig and other stuff normal people won’t learn till they are sophomores in high school
