I had a request to start a blog where you could weigh in on thoughts about a movie based on The Merchant of Death and to discuss casting. This isn’t to say that a movie is imminent. It isn’t. But I’m working with some folks to develop one now, so you never know. (Just don’t hold your breath!)

Hey guys!! Sorry I haven’t been on lately. Busy with school and all. I’m keeping up with my New Years resolution and trying to do better in school. I’m paying more attention in class now. But somehow I feel… Smarter.
Okay. There’s a guy in my class who “hates my guts” and I put that in quotation marks because everyone says that he only acts like that to me because he likes me. And honestly, I like him too. Even though I’m five foot five and he’s four foot nine. But it would be way akward for us to go out because we’re really good friends, and I don’t want to mess that up.
There’s also another guy in my class who seems to like me. I kind of like him, but not in the same way.

well, I am having a terrible week, on Saturday, I have to sing and dance for a musical audition, (I hate singing but dancing doesn’t bother me) and I have to pick a short bible story, and learn it in sign language, and do it in front of my class. And I have a bunch of geography homework…… If you can’t tell, I’m stressed and can’t calm down!!!! Oh well…..

@batu warrior: thx but I’m trying to be positive and want to really ace the first test I have in bio—you know it sets the standard for the rest of your grade and all…
i also think learning a bible story in sign language is sort of fun but that’s just me…at least you don’t have to do a spanish oral presentation like I do
and as for musical audtions, I’ve always wanted to try but I’m probably going to get stage fright (I can sing, but not really dance)…but i can give you this advice: just picture yourself doing well and getting the role and you’ll do well.

Something that works for me when I feel overwhelmed from getting a lot of work to do is to not think about everything as a whole, think about all your assignments separately. Think about it like this: “I have geography homework to do.” That’s it, end that thought right there. Work on that for about 30 min., take a 5 – 10 min. break, then continue working on it for another 30 min., take another break and so on until you finish. Then go on to your next thing: “I have to pick a Bible short story.” Same thing. Then: “I have to learn the sign language for the story.” End though, repeat the process, then go on until you finish everything. Before you know it, you’ll have everything done and you won’t be so stressed about it ^-^ It works great for me.
And I agree with Courtney; I don’t think guys don’t hate you, I think you just have met the right guy for you yet.
Anyone have any advice on how to get rid of an artist’s block? I’ve been stuck in one for the past year and a half. I can barely write anything, draw anything, or even really get into a good book. I used to be able to honestly say that 700+ page books were light reading for me.

Oh yeah, artists block. Have you ever listened to music while you write or draw? Sometimes it can help. It works for me when I write my book.

(because for me to draw, I have to find something inspiring—like maybe beautiful scenery / landscapes—or something motivating that makes me feel that I just have to draw it or capture it on paper)

Also…have a little fun while doing your homework and school stuff (like listen to your fave music) or something that keeps your mind off of the capacity and stress of what you’re doing. That way, you’ll finish it before you know it .
Take frequent breaks, too. (after you finish a certain task or every 45 min. since your brain starts to get tired after that amount of time—it’s a fact)
I think that you’re a great person and that guys don’t hate you. If someone does like you(other than the creepy one), they probably still think of you as a friend and are too shy to express their feelings or don’t want to have a girlfriend just yet. I agree with Courtney and EelongCatFolk that maybe you just haven’t met the right guy yet.
