I had a request to start a blog where you could weigh in on thoughts about a movie based on The Merchant of Death and to discuss casting. This isn’t to say that a movie is imminent. It isn’t. But I’m working with some folks to develop one now, so you never know. (Just don’t hold your breath!)

Yes it is. Well, we’re at Orange Beach, and it’s not very orange. But, actually, I’m really happy at the moment. I’ve been watching funny YouTube videos while everyone else is asleep. I’ve been playing whatever kind of music I want because my dad has headphones and is listening to his music. So right now, I couldn’t be happier!!! 😀

Wow, I haven’t been on here in a while… Blame it on five dress rehearsals, and eight shows of Oliver :p Last show was Sunday, and now it’s really weird, not being at the theater. But now we’re starting the variety show for the studio….. I do too much…. I have once again said something weird and off topic…. Oh well….

I’m doing a research paper for Senior Composition and I’ve chosen to write on the topic: Which is a better series, Pendragon, by D.J. MacHale, or Maximum Ride, by Robert Patterson? @Eelong Catfolk: Even though it’s been a while and I like both books (they’re both awesome and I admire both authors for their ingenious ideas), I would have to say that I like Pendragon better.
It has more of an adventurous plotline that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Despite that it’s a fantasy-and-adventure genre, it also weaves in morals of life that tie the whole series together perfectly, such as trust and having the true courage to stand up for what you believe in. I know that Maximum Ride also has these morals, but I think that the Pendragon series stood out more to me since it relates more to the present day or history. Ex: The poor families in Quillan who had to share a room together and accepted others in even if they didn’t have any more space. They inspired Bobby b/c they made the most out of their lives though they were oppressed in poverty under Bloc.

Pendragon. No doubt. I personally didn’t like Maximum Ride. The first three books were good, but then they got worse and worse. I stopped reading Fang in the middle of the book b/c I didn’t like it that much.

“I think that overall…the Pendragon books had a higher quality of plot in the long run… The Maximum Ride series did not focus as much on plot, but on the characters psychology and interactions with each other…and on the conflict between the ‘outcast’ mutants and the ‘normal’ world. It depends on what you are looking for in a story.”
“Pendragon is definitely the better story… but if you want a quick laugh or cool comeback quote, you can’t beat Maximum ride.”

I loved the maximum ride books but I liked pendragon better. It all depend on weather or not youre doing certain books or the whole series. For instance, The first maximum ride book (in my mind) is a bit better than the first pendragon, but the whole pendragon series is better than the maximum ride series. I would look up which series is more popular that way more people will be able to understand it and relate to it.
