I had a request to start a blog where you could weigh in on thoughts about a movie based on The Merchant of Death and to discuss casting. This isn’t to say that a movie is imminent. It isn’t. But I’m working with some folks to develop one now, so you never know. (Just don’t hold your breath!)
So, here’s the blog. Have fun.

Dan says:
Awesome! Are there any other rules?
If I could get my spider to eat more spiders than yours, would you consider having an online tournament with our scores?
Mail me at hardcoredan@hotmail.com if you want to.
Flume of Doom says:
@Dan
We mark down the spider’s name, the type of spider, when it was caught, how many kills it has, and which spider eventually kills it.
Only one of ours is still alive…a Phiddipus audax that we call the Black Death. I’m keeping it in a hand made confinement arena, full of stink bugs if it needs food before we find the next contestant.
P.S. We don’t email random people even if they say the Spider Wars is cool!
It’s a dangerous world out there
Spies are everywhere
All they want to do,
Is kill or torture you
You setting in a restaurant, gnawing on a sausage
A spy comes along and then he takes ya hostage
He puts you in a microwave to get some information
and ya try to lie and say ya were at Tosche Station.
It’s a dangerous world out there
Spies are everywhere
All they want to do,
Is kill or torture you
You workin in the gym, whistling a hymn
A spy comes up and grabs a weight and knocks your conscious dim.
Them spies are real mean
They hit ya in the spleen
It’s a dangerous world out there!

Are you two brothers? You sure do act like it.
@ Flume of Doom
I too, liked your story. I’m not a very good writer, so I’m probobly incapable of writing something like this.
Weird_Pirate says:
Hey, would anyone like to see a little of the storyboard?

@ Flume of Doom
So you had a twin this entire time, and never told anybody? (Sarcastic voice) Well, I’m a little offended. I’d love to have a twin. As long as my win is a boy. That way, no one would get us confused.
GOCLORAL says:
Wow, over 7,000 comments. This blog hasn’t even been up for a year. I gotta get a life.

Anna says:
Facebook is a cult that’s ultimate goal is the ruination of mankind.
Sorry just had to put that in there.
Flume of Doom says:
I agree!
Though if used for the right purpose it could be an incredible tool… It has become Lifelight in our modern world… Not to mention very hackable! 😐
Batu Warrior says:
In my opinion…. Facebooks just facebook…. You guys confuse me sometimes….
GOCLORAL says:
Yeah, but think about it this way. Say that there’s someone who’s really good about hacking computers. He or she could hack onto your Facebook and ruin your life. Think about that… Not to be negative or anything.
Courtney Chetwynde says:
@flume of doom
haha yes it is very hackable….. 😉
and @gocloral i get what your saying thats why ur supposed to pick a good password
Batu Warrior says:
Of course it’s very hackable, but so is like everything else. And yeah you have to pick a good password… And hopefully you wouldn’t know anyone that would hack your Facebook to ruin your life.
Weird_Pirate says:
If I made a kickstarter for the Pendragon movie. Would you gents and ladies support, put in as anything you can into it? To show we truely want it to happen. If we do get it started, obtain enough, pithed a good enough idea, it might work!! Well would you people?
Tribbun and Ribbon says:
Wow I haven’t been on here in a while!!
Everyone I have something to say and please no one hate me after this!
I don’t know if I want a Pendragon movie. Not to say that I wouldn’t be incredibly excited if one was made, but i just think it wouldn’t be the best thing ever. Think about the hunger games, no one cared about it until it was mentioned that they were making a movie. then, suddenly, everyone started reading the books and thinking that they were the biggest fans ever just because they liked the series. I’m just saying that I enjoy the fact that there are just a few really hard-core Pendragon fans.
No one hate me please!
I’m not against the idea of a movie at all, i just don’t think it would be the best thing.
Tribbun and Ribbon says:
but thee should DEFINETLY be a video game!
Robert Pendragon says:
I am back all I had to do was change my password I have been playing silent hill lately.
Flume of Doom says:
Frankly, the movie might be the biggest fail in history… But what would we have to lose? May as well have a movie and just see how it turns out, cause the Story has real potential!
Batu Warrior says:
@ Tribbun and Ribbun
Yeah that’s kind of how I feel…. It would be annoying if people started reading the books and were all excited. And of course I read these books a LONG time ago.
@ Flume of Doom
I agree with that too. Although I doubt it would be the biggest fail.
Anna says:
@Weird_Pirate
I would love to help in any way necessary! I’ve been waiting for a movie to come out since I read the first book.
@ Tribbun and Ribbun
That’s not how I feel at all! I think that a film series would be a magnificent idea. I love the Pendragon Series, I am a hard core fan but I don’t know anyone else who’s read it. If a movie did come out, so many more people would read the books and be able to enjoy what a great tale the story of Bobby Pendragon is.
If done right, this could be the complete opposite of the biggest fail in history, I believe that in a film this story would be incredible!
TDavid says:
I believe we should actually get back on track here and talk about the movie. I think it would be a great, epic series of films, but the cast would need to be really carefully selected. Undiscovered actors to make it fresh, but also famous ones to attract viewers (Robert Downey Jr. for Uncle Press, anyone?).
Also, to all those saying the movie would get people to start reading it and claiming to be fans, yeah, that would happen, but why are we so set on keeping the great stories to ourselves? Pendragon is a story meant to be shared and experienced with others, not to be fought over by crazed fans.
Tribbun and Ribbon says:
Like I said, I’m not totally against the idea for a movie. I do agree with Flume of Dume saying that it might be the biggest fail in history, but what do we have to lose? i mean, i could end up fantasti`chd
Tribbun and Ribbon says:
sorry my cat sat on my keyboard. I meant fantastic.
Tribbun and Ribbon says:
whoopsie i spelled doom wrong. sorry i was still thinking about the word flume!
EelongCatfolk says:
After looking over all the facts and trying to think of several ways that producers could make a movie for Pendragon, I have to agree with Tribbun and Ribbon. It might not be the best thing to do. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to see a movie made! It’s just going to be very difficult, lengthy, expensive, and risky for them to make movies on these books. It would take a lot of time and money to make just one movie, and there are ten books! Plus there’s no way of knowing how many people would buy tickets to see the movie so they’d be taking a leap of faith in the pitch black of night by making one. To cut down on the cost and time required to make the movies, they’d most likely combine two or three books into one movie, thus needing to cut out quite a bit from each of the books therefore reducing the quality of the movies which in turn will reduce the chances that people would go back to watch the rest of the movies.
I know this isn’t what most of you like to hear (heck I even hate hearing myself say these things), but these are some reasons as to why the movies might not be as good of an idea as we think and why the movies might not be as good as we’re expecting if they make any, kind of like with The Hunger Games, Eragon, or The Lightning Thief.
Batu Warrior says:
@ TDavid
We’re not set on keeping the books to ourselves, I think what those of us talking about that just mean that it would be frustrating if someone came up to you and started talking about how great the books were, when all along you were trying to get people to read it.
@ Eelong Catfolk
Yeah I guess I agree with that. I mean, how many years would it take to put ten books into movies, without ruining them? So It’s not like I’m trying to say no to a movie, because there’s a good chance it would be bad, but also a chance it’ll be amazing.
Anna says:
I’m a movie buff… heck i’d take animation!
Pendragon nerd says:
omg i didn’t think that many people cared aout pendragon but clearly they do, who thinks pendragon is better then hunger games??? i certinly do, who would play bobby in the movie if there were one?!?!?!
Patrick's Acolyte says:
@ Pendragon nerd
I would but sadly, I am a girl.
@ Eelong catfolk
I completely agree with you!
@ Everyone
Think about a series of unfortunate events. That movie was AWFUL compared to such a great book series.
Flume of Doom says:
Animation would be ok if it was done really well.
