I had a request to start a blog where you could weigh in on thoughts about a movie based on The Merchant of Death and to discuss casting. This isn’t to say that a movie is imminent. It isn’t. But I’m working with some folks to develop one now, so you never know. (Just don’t hold your breath!)

Ok, I have two things I want to say right now. One is fairly pointless, but the other one . . . quite an interesting thought. OK, first, I’ve been reading a lot on manga lately so I though I’d get the graphic novel for Merchant of Death. I did, but now it’s slowly driving me insane because my eyes keep going to the top right and sometimes I’ll read the whole page out of order and be really confused before I remember that it reads left to right. AND SECOND (and more important) I had this thought a while ago (as in, like half a year, I forget about it a lot), and am just getting around to posting it. WHAT IF BOBBY NEVER GOT HIS RING BACK AFTER IT WAS STOLEN IN THE THE NEVER WAR?????????? He would be forced to keep putting his journals in the bank, right? What if he went back to First Earth to do so each time? And then he went BACK TO THE FUTURE!? (Ok, I just really wanted to say that phrase ^.^) And he could read his journals from the end of his adventure . . . and know exactly how to defeat Saint Dane, how to save the territories, know that Veelox needs to NOT be saved for Ibara to exist . . . KNOW WHAT WOULD HAPPEN ON EELONG. And, if he know what happens on Eelong, then it wouldn’t actually happen because he would know to warn Mark and Courtney not to Travel, then we would have 3 more travelers to help him out on all of the territories . . . what would happen then? Everything would turn out perfectly? That’s my thought. If Bobby reads about something he did wrong, he would do it right, then he would have read about something that he did right and do it that way to keep things the way they were meant to be. Ok, now that I’m sure that I’ve thoroughly confused you and given you more than enough to think about . . . Bye!

Ah, but reading that, he wouldn’t know what happens on Eelong, because if he doesn’t let it happen, then there’s nothing for him to read about what goes wrong . . . so what if, in reading it, he reads about how he read his journals and the journals tell about how he read is journals, and the journals are different each time, because he does something different each time . . . reminds me of the effect of mirrors facing each other. Ahh, time paradoxes. Gotta love em.

Ok, so I thought of this. So the timeline splits and creates a second, parallel timeline each time Bobby goes to First Earth, because he is directly affecting the events and making them different than how they already happened. I’ve been against the theory that time can do this, what’s in the past has already happened, and there is only one dimension, but there really is no other explanation for this. All of those “other times” that I was talking about that I said theoretically shouldn’t exist DO exist, just in another dimension. When Bobby goes into the past to put his journal there, and thus creates a new dimension, he is telling himself of the events that happened in another dimension, on a parallel timeline. There we go. Sorry I kinda blabbed on about this and took up space when I was still just trying to figure it out myself ^.^

Heh, sorry about that . . . it was a really simple idea when I started typing, that if Bobby put his journals in First Earth and found them on Second Earth somewhere early in his adventure he would know what happens to himself . . . then it just started piling up into a whole mess of paradoxes, alternate universes, parallel timelines, and . . . yeah. . . .
