I had a request to start a blog where you could weigh in on thoughts about a movie based on The Merchant of Death and to discuss casting. This isn’t to say that a movie is imminent. It isn’t. But I’m working with some folks to develop one now, so you never know. (Just don’t hold your breath!)

Yeah, seems like yesterday we were just at 1400, now we’re almost at 2000. It probably won’t even take that long to reach, since there’s close to a hundred comments a day.

It really doesn’t take that long, especially when we’re all on at the same time.

Someone, I can’t remember who, posted yesterday saying they’d e-mailed D.J. when they’d first saw this blog, and he had e-mailed back saying he wouldn’t be back for a while, because he was on vacation and wouldn’t be returning till mid August. So hopefully we’ll get some news soon!

Yeah, I think we’re all just kind of waiting around, hoping for news to pop up. I’m trying not to get impatient and all, I’m just trying to sit back and wait patiently…but that’s not easy to do when you’re dying for news 🙂

Ya I emailed him too. And that makes sence if he is on vacation. I hope he is back soon cause I’m goin on vacation soon and I don no weher I’ll be able to use the Internet or not

Yeah, it does make sense why we wouldn’t have heard anything if he’s on vacation. I might be going away, but I don’t think that’ll be till the first week of September, but hopefully I’ll have internet access.
Either way, I can’t wait for a response.

I know. It’s so hard waiting! I’m re-reading the books right now to help pass the time. Right now, I’m on Rivers of Zadaa…but hobey, the thought of a movie is always there.

Yeah, I’m on my 8th read. They’re just so great, that you can re-read them multiple times and they’re still just as amazing. Re-reading them helps a bit to keep me busy from thinking about the movie as much…but it’s kind of hard not to think about it 🙂

It’s my 8th time too, the books never get old, and everytime you read them it;s just as good as the first time

Yeah, I always tear up when Uncle Press dies, I always get chills when Courtney is about to shoot Mark on the Queen Mary. The emotion is still there. Never gets old.

It’s so well written that it will never get old, I’ll probably still be reading them 20 years from now

Same here. I can just imagine myself years down the road, still reading them and still loving the characters just as much as I do today. If I ever have kids some day, I’d absolutely love to share these books with them.

Yeah, I laugh out loud sometimes too, if I just remember something funny from the books, or something Bobby said that made me laugh. You just kind of can’t help but laugh 🙂

I think most of the cast should be unknown, new individuals. I can’t stand when a movie is made about a book and I’ve already have seen and stereotyped the cast from their other movies.

The best idea would be that the author would write a screenplay to a movie.
Maybe it’ll be silly question but who would you like to see on a screen? It means some known actors? Unkown? And who’d be the best director to not ruin the series?
