I had a request to start a blog where you could weigh in on thoughts about a movie based on The Merchant of Death and to discuss casting. This isn’t to say that a movie is imminent. It isn’t. But I’m working with some folks to develop one now, so you never know. (Just don’t hold your breath!)

I wouldn’t really mind if Lost City of Faar and Quillan Games were in 3-D, because I think those 2 would make good movies for 3-D, but don’t just go and make them 3-D for the sake of it or because you can. If they looked great in 3-D, then that’s another story.

I think the lost city of faar will be by far the most expensive one because of all the scenery they have to get. If they do it right it will be breathtaking

Yeah, Lost City of Faar will easily be the most expensive. But like Avatar, if the time is taken to do it well and do the book justice, it’ll be simply amazing. Audiences would love to see an underwater world…it would just take people’s breath away. I think of all ten books, Lost City of Faar would be one of the highest grossing ones, in my opinion.

I second that! There are a lot of good series out there that would make good movies, but Pendragon just screams, “Movie!” to me. It’s just this amazing, epic story that would be great on the big screen.

It sucks that D. J. is only talking about making a movie and not already casting. This movie will be the highlight of my year (whatever year that is)

Yeah, he’s developing one and getting one together, but the real question is if the movie will get made, which I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it will. I’d be so upset if a movie weren’t to get made soon.

Yeah I know, I’ve been hoping it would become a movie for so long and now is the perfect chance for it to finally happen

I’m not the biggest fan of star wars but if this didn’t happen I’d feel like the Star Wars fans that got cheated out of seeing episode 7-9

Whenever I talk to most people about Pendragon they say what’s that but when this movie comes out and they want to go see it I’ll be like “IN YOUR FACE!”

For sure! And if movies were to come out, no doubt even more fans would start pouring in. It would help attract more fans not only to the films, but ultimately, to the books.
