I had a request to start a blog where you could weigh in on thoughts about a movie based on The Merchant of Death and to discuss casting. This isn’t to say that a movie is imminent. It isn’t. But I’m working with some folks to develop one now, so you never know. (Just don’t hold your breath!)

Yeah, there will indeed be a lot of upset people. I think the possibility of a movie is just so thrilling and exciting, that if fans were told a movie weren’t to get made…it would just be really upsetting.
Keeping my fingers crossed though for good news, as I having a movie is the way it was meant to be.

Yeah, same with me. Pendragon’s just been such a big part of my life, I’m such a big fan and getting the bad news that a movie wouldn’t get made…man, I’d be really upset.
And I agree. Pendragon completely deserves to be put on the big screen.

I like to feel pretty sure though that a movie will get made. So many other books have become movies, and though not all of them have been amazing (in terms of adaptations), the point is, so many books out there have become movies. It would seem unfair if Pendragon never got the chance or opportunity to shine in the spotlight.

And so many crappy movies have become movie (ex. Twilight) and Pendragon is way better than that and it would be a disgrace to all of Halla if this movie doesn’t get the chance to be on the big screeen

Yeah, I’m not a fan of Twilight whatsoever (won’t get into that though), but I completely agree. Pendragon is one of the best adventure stories out there and if done right, would make one of the best movie franchises as well. The territories, characters, plots and the villain (the one and only Saint Dane) would just really appeal to audiences everywhere.
Movies would certainly bring in more fans 🙂

It could be a multi million dollar franchise, maybe even more successful than Harry Potter, but it would have to done right. So I dont see why they wouldn’t make a movie

Sure! Basically we did a lot of chatting about the books, favorite characters, acolytes, shocking moments, and then we arranged to have a blog party if we get the good news that a movie will get made. I believe the date for it is Jan 1 (forget the time that was set for everyone to come on). But of course, if we get news sooner than that, the date will change.
But it’ll be an awesome party 🙂

I agree Melanie. If they do these movies well, and stay true to the books, they would certainly have the potential to do as well as Harry Potter and if not…better. I truly think they would do even better.

favorite character is loor, also spader. mark is my favorite acolyte, nevea (sorry for my bad spelling) shocked me in quillen games, and i would be up for the party but we need to find a better way of chatting, some way of IMing would be best.
