I had a request to start a blog where you could weigh in on thoughts about a movie based on The Merchant of Death and to discuss casting. This isn’t to say that a movie is imminent. It isn’t. But I’m working with some folks to develop one now, so you never know. (Just don’t hold your breath!)

I didn’t see that movie yet. I wanted to see it in theatres, but never got around to it.

Oh, the TV series. I haven’t seen it, but I heard from a lot of people it’s pretty good. And I heard the movie version is pretty bad.

I play a lot of things. There’s this thing called Drakengaurd that’s pretty fun. I also like this game called Nostalgia, but you get to think in between killing stuff, whereas in Drakenguard you just hack things to bits.

it’s fun talking about the pendragon books and everyone’s excited about the pendragon movie 😀 i think it’s awesome that we can talk together on this blog.

i’m sorry to say but i also do not agree with you 1# dj fan.
i don’t think mr. machale got the cast yet.
and it’s not 100% proved that the movie is even going to be made. (even though it should and it will because pendragon is amazing:D)
he will update us when he gets more news about the movie and right now i’m just hoping for the best. i agree that mr. Machale will update us as soon as he can when he gets the news.

Sometimes, i just get so excited for the movie, but then become dissapointed when I see that D.J. has not updated. Pendragon would make a great movie, and I am really looking forward to an update, whether a movie will be made or not.

Yeah, I’m sure D.J. will update as soon as it’s decided whether the movie will get made or not. It’s hard waiting, but I guess all we fans can do is wait and try and be patient 🙂

I agree completely. Having a movie made would be amazing not only for huge fans, but for people who haven’t discovered the books yet. It can help attract more people to the books and can then build a bigger fanbase. I’ve got my fingers crossed, hoping for the best.

Yup i’m not sure if this is me just being mean or something else but i have this little feeling behind my head.
if the movie gets made and gets all famous and stuff i wanna tell the people who watched the movie that i was one of the few first people who discovered pendragon.
maybe it’s just me being mean or something but i feel like doing that sometimes. pendragon definately deserves more attention and i think it’s wayyy better than other best sellers.

For sure. It’s one of the best adventure/sci-fi series out there and it deserves so much more attention. Yes, there’s a lot of good adventure books out there, but there’s nothing like Pendragon. Nothing can compare.
And I don’t think that sounds mean. You just want to let people know you were one of the people that first discovered it 🙂

i remember when i first picked up the merchant of death and read the first few pages i thought,
“this is the book. this is definately it.”
and now that im almost done with the raven rise, and going onto the soldiers of halla i’m glad i found the pendragon books. if not i’m not sure where i would be. i wouldn’t know all about the amazing world of halla and wouldn’t be here talking with other pendragon fans.
i think… this is the way it was meant to be. 🙂

Definitely. Hunger Games is good and all, but again, nothing can compare to Pendragon. It’s in a league all on its own 🙂

Yeah, I remember first reading Merchant of Death and as soon as I started reading, I was hooked. Usually I have to read a few pages of a book to really get into it, but with Pendragon, as soon as I read, “I hope you’re reading this Mark,” I know the book would be amazing.

i was just dragged into reading the pendragon books from square one. i wasn’t sure about it at first when i first saw the book but when i opened the book, read the first few pages of bobby and courtney, i knew this was going to be an interesting and funny book. (funny because of bobby’s humor)

Yeah, Bobby’s humor is one of my favorite (one of many) things of the series. It just never gets old 🙂
