I had a request to start a blog where you could weigh in on thoughts about a movie based on The Merchant of Death and to discuss casting. This isn’t to say that a movie is imminent. It isn’t. But I’m working with some folks to develop one now, so you never know. (Just don’t hold your breath!)

this is the first time i have seen this blog, and probably will be the last as i have nothing else to say, except for one request.
I am thrilled to hear that you are thinking about making these books into a movie series. They are one of my favourite series. But please, stay true to the book, and stick with one director. Dont make the same mistakes as the Harry Potter series. The first few were great, and the rest were horrible, because they didnt focus on the book which disappointed anyone. Louis Sachar’s “Holes” is a perfect example of how a book should be made into a movie. Please don’t glamorize/hollywoodize it. Tell it as is.
