I had a request to start a blog where you could weigh in on thoughts about a movie based on The Merchant of Death and to discuss casting. This isn’t to say that a movie is imminent. It isn’t. But I’m working with some folks to develop one now, so you never know. (Just don’t hold your breath!)

Wow. My street is right next to a public school and I go to a catholic school. Well a lot of kids from that school live in my neighborhood and by the time I get home, some kids are still walking home, so a lot of them see me in my ugly green uniforms. I wonder what they think of me. *distant look in my eyes*

Just got back from a latin comlitition i won first in team Quiz bowl aka cartamen and first in the pairs cartamen. I also got 2nd in a poster contest that i wrote “latin didnt fall with rome” a quote thats on my school cafeteria wall. Also i got 3rd on the pentatholon which is a test on latin in general which includes history vocab mottos mythogy Nd dirivates. It was sooooo much fun latino est optime aka latin is awesome

It sounds like you want there to be a movie! No one knows for sure if there is going to be one, or if they are doing the Lost City of Faar, or the Never War. But I’m pretty sure we all want it to be something like that 😀

One of the problems about a Pendragon movie is that there is the possibility that the actors might not be right for the part. As in, can anyone think of a good person to play Bobby?

While that can always be a problem with movies, wanting the get the characters just right, I think there can certainly be actors/actresses out there that can do justice to the characters. You’ve just got to make sure they can really get into the character and do the part well, you know? It can be hard, no doubt about that, but it can be done just the same. Just my thoughts.

Let’s get this movie cracking. I see a couple of movies with themes from these books (The Quillian games – The hunger games), so it shouldn’t be that hard to see them come together, all you need are the actors, and a kickass director, plus 100 million bones to get those movies rolln’ in. I DO NOT want the books to stop either! But what if they do make a movie, then the books and the movies will be gone…. Well we can always re-read/rewatch but still. When I finished The soldiers of Halla I was like, “No…. More….. Pendragon?” And then I almost cried. Then I started re-reading the series. Lol.

Same here! I’ve re-read the books so many times. It would be the same with the movies. They’d come to an end, but I’d keep on watching them. So if you look at it that way, the adventure never really ends. I just keep re-living it 🙂

Will there be a Pendragon movie? I seriously think if Hollywood producers would consider it, that it would be a great movie series and give people more screen time than Lord of the Rings and Twilight combined.

Thanks, I drew him myself. It’s one of my Mobians named Arin. I’m currently working on a story about him. Not coming along to well, I’m having an Artist’s Block, I can’t write, which helps me draw, and I can’t draw, which helps me write. And reading a book doesn’t even help. It’s so frustrating!!! >-<

It’s not know for sure if there’s going to be a movie or not. I do agree with you that it would be a great movie series. There are a lot of things to consider, though. A lot of people here have brought up some good points: some being who would cast the characters; there are ten books in the series, that would cost a lot of time and money to make ten movies, or if they put multiple books into one film, there would be a lot of things that would have to be left out.
