Freaking best book of the trilogy. There are no loose ends and everything, all the mysteries and questions from the other two, are all answered. THAT is good writing. I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!

Been a while since I’ve been on here, but I’ve just finished reading The Blood and…wow. What a ride! Definitely exceeded all my expectations!

Not only was it an exciting ride and a great ending to the trilogy…but getting to see my favorite character from Pendragon step in and become part of it was just plain awesome! At first, I was thinking the Watcher was Bobby, being so skilled with the basketball and all, really had me guessing that’s who it was, but as soon as I saw the word “uncle”…that’s when I was holding my breath. I was just squealing when the Watcher said, “Call me…Press.”
Favorite moment of the book right there 🙂
Bravo on coming up with such a great trilogy, D.J.! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next.

Yeah, I’m guessing it was Osa. Especially when Press said the wooden stave was from a spirit who meant a lot to him…sounds like that would be Osa 🙂

No rifts are not involved in pendragon because we think morphues road happened after…press was just using the power of solara because spirits never really die…unless stabbed by a spirit killing sword

maybe solara is AFTER you go to the black!! and the blood is where saint dane SHOULD OF GONE but he was nice back when he was in the black, and so went on to solara?

The Blood is awesome so far. I’ve only read half of it but the end of every chapter just keeps getting better. But I was a little surprised that The Blood is shorter than The Black. And The Black didn’t take me as long to read so that was weird

Wow. I can’t stop thinking about all the Pendragon parts in this book. I finished reading it, and just had to go back and mark every page were there was a Pendragon refererance. Gotta love how Press just brushes the war with SaintDane off . . .
Thank whatever higher spiritual power that it was Osa and Press instead of Loor and Pendragon, or I would have lost my mind.

So happy that Marsh could live again. i also thought that the Watcher was Bobby. then my favorite part came in Chapter 18 last sentence. “Call me…Press.” I almost screamed when i read that. but i was in school *Darn* PRESS IS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER EVER. TO be honest, in the 2ond PEndragon i almost stooped reading them cause Press died. SOoooooooooooooooooo glad i didn’t!!!!!!! LOOOOOVEEEEEEEE your series D. J!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just finished the book and was very pleased. I had read the Pendragon series too and it made me sooooo happy when Uncle Press appeared in the Blood. I really like that MacHale took characters from Pendragon and included them here, because it gives you insight into what happened to them after their last book. All in all, this was another great series!

I was also wondering about what happened with Bobby. Seeing as he stayed after they defeated Saint Dane and didn’t go to Solara with the others, I was wondering if he was still considered one of the higher spirits like the other travelers, or if he was a normal person now because he had a normal life afterwards.

This series was just amazing. It was definitely on level with pendragon in many ways. And the tie in was great it just made the series even more satisfying to read. What would be even more epic is if coop and gotten to meet Bobby i always thought they were sorta similar. And who do you think would win in a fight Damon or saint Dane>?

Saint Dane would definitely win because he could change form, which Damon couldn’t, and he was large, while the books said that Damon was tiny. We also know that Saint Dane could fight from when he fought Bobby in Rivers of Zadaa.

The Blood was frickin’ AWESOME! I’ve been a Pendragon fan since the beginning, so when Press and Osa appeared and Solara was mentioned, I was bouncing off the walls (not literally). I can’t believe how well DJ wrote this book. Every question was answered and it was just awesome. I can’t wait till his next book comes out! Whatever it is, I’ll be in line at Barnes & Noble the day it comes out getting it.
