On the old forums I made a post about this, but since they no longer exist, I’ll write something again.
The final chapter of The Soldiers of Halla has been talked about and discussed quite a bit. Some love it. Others hate it. Some understand it fully. Others don’t get it. I’m not going to explain it all here because I’d prefer that readers draw their own conclusions. But I will make a few comments. First off, I don’t consider the ending to be a cliff hanger. Not even close. The story is very clear about what is going to happen next, and that is that Bobby will soon go to Solara and Courtney will not be far behind. To understand how the events described in the last chapter could have happened, you have to look at the end of the second to last chapter. Bobby lamented to Uncle Press that after all they had been through, it seemed unfair that the Travelers were not being allowed to live the normal lives they fought so hard for. All they wanted was a little bit of time to live those lives, which in the general scheme of Halla, wasn’t much . . . and Uncle Press agreed with him. How that was able to happen, and what all the implications are, I’ll leave that up to you to debate and decide.
I’ll say one other thing, and that’s about the guy who delivered Bobby’s journals to him in the hospital. Short of actually writing his name, I pretty much described exactly who it was. From the events that unfolded in the hospital room with Bobby and Courtney kissing and being interrupted, to his physical description, to Bobby recognizing him, to him saying that he had nine other journals to deliver, there is no other possible person that could have been…but Uncle Press.

no as a matter of fact i don’t. me and my cousin, when we have just gotten out of school and headed to our ride which is across the main road that people get out of the parking lot, walk across the main road people get out of the parking lot and walk in front of cars blocking their path. we don’t care if we get run over. no more school. anyway, the cars won’t be going anywhere for a while because the parking lot is always packed. if people’s parents don’t care about kids and we are walking in front of them; Presto! we get ran over, they get sued and we don’t have any more school.

i hope they don’t make it a movie. it wouldn’t be the same as the books, movies never are, and i’m worried that the producer would mess it up like Percy Jackson. i got really mad. the director was the person who directed the first two Harry Potters and they followed the book pretty closely. the Percy Jackson movie didn’t. they messed it up sooo bad the last time i checked there were 146 things that were in the book but not the movie; in the movie but not the book, that one was a lot,; or were just plain different that didn’t have anything to do with the book. and forgive me for saying this but you spelled awesome wrong. it’s spelled A-W-E-S-O-M-E. not aswome. if i hadn’t recognized that you probably meant to saw awesome i would’ve been very confused. i know that this backfires on me too and i’m trying to do better too, but i don’t like it when people misspell something. i don’t know why i just don’t like it.

ok. that said here it goes.
Prologue.
This is a letter for someone somewhere. i hope you will take this to heart and believe this story because it’s true and if you don’t like the decisions i make remeber this: What would you do in my postion if this wasn’t a bunch of words written down on paper? Keep that in mind.
Anyway, this is my story. I’m still trying to avoid capture from the asylum police so if this story leaves off on a cliffhanger you know i’ve been captured. Simple as that.
So now, to the beginning of everything.
I woke up one morning expecting to see sunlight flitering through my window. that was not what i saw. what i saw was my homeroon classroom, all the desks empty except for 2. the teacher’s desk and the one i was at. I had fallen asleep at school!!! i shook myself awake and glanced at my teacher. she was staring at me and i held her gaze. she hated that, and i did it all the time. that was why i was her least favorite student. i groaned as the reason why i was here hit me.
“I’m here for summer school, right?” I asked.
“No,” she said. i should mention her name, Maurice Chair, or Ms. Chair. i know funny name! “You’re not here for summer school.”
Phew! that was close!
“Then why am i here at school?” I asked.
“You fell asleep for seven weeks starting on the last day of school,” Ms.Chair said calmly, like it was no biggie that i had lost seven weeks of summer!
“Ahh!!!!” I screamed and opened the door and ran outside the school.
I slamed the front doors shut and tried to catch my breath, but what i saw was worse, or rather heard. i heard nothing, no sings of life, no cars on the highway, no screams of laughter, nothing. that was even more creepier than waking up at school. i ran back inside and into my classroom.
“What happened to everyone?” i gasped.
“I don’t know. i didn’t know anyone was missing. i had just woken up, check the calendar, and sat back down when you woke up,” Ms. Chair answered.
“No one’s outside! Nothing’s moving at all!” i exclaimed.
“Well, i think i’ll take a look,” Ms. Chair said. of cours she didn’t believe me.
She got up and i followed her outside, and when she had saw and heard what i had seen and heard, or rather didn’t, she stopped short.
“Where IS everyone?” she asked as if i knew the answer.
I shrugged, “Should we go back inside?” I suggested.
She nodded in agreement.
Little did we know that that one decision would lead us on a bigger adventure then we could ever dream of.
My name is Scalenea. Like the triangle you learn in math about, Scalene, except with an a at the end, and i believe in magic. once you read my story i think you will too.

Your story is half decent. Not the best writting, and i could see many grammatical and writing errors. I do think however that you should lay off the sugar and caffiene, and stop spamming this thread.
On a RELATED note, i enjoyed the ending, and found it fit for the best book series of all time. As for the movie, i would recommend against it. So many books have been slaughtered by the movie industry by changing everything that is good about the book. It would only work if DJ Machale and someone like Peter Jackson were both directing it. I love this series, and it shall always be close to my heart. Id hate to see it soiled by a terrible movie.
