The Merchant of Death was first published in 2002 . . . a lifetime ago. So we thought it was time to spiff up the Pendragon series and create new covers.  Over the next year or so, all ten books will come out with the new design. (Paperback only. The hardcovers won’t change)

Well the first book is very funny, and that balances the having to learn what ther Tavelers are…which in my case took a while and therefore the Merchant of Death was hard for me to understand…

i like them both, but i still think that when you’re reading Pendragon for the first time you appreciate the older addition more because they show Bobby aging and a glimpse of the Territory that he’s on. i really liked them, but the new ones are neat too

I do prefer the original covers but what I love about the new covers are the color schemes. I think they’re great. And I like how on most of them there is one object. On book 1, you have the ring, book 2, you have a compass (I believe it is), book 7, you have the chess piece.
Very nice. Both sets of covers are wicked 🙂

I’m only on the 8th book right now, Quillan Games, so if the answer’s a spoiler, don’t tell me. But they keep mentioning that Saint Dane is a traveller. If that’s true, then I just have one huge question: Who is his acolyte?????????

Oooh, good question. I read all of the books, so i know the answer- He really doesnt need one. I mean, jeez he’s freakin’ Saint Dane- he shape-shifts and doesn’t need a change of clothing. However, you’ll soon figure out he has an unexpected ally… who happens to be revealed in that very book you’re reading.
But Travelers are obviously not normal humans. So Saint Dane qualifies as a Traveler in the same way as all of the others…. which I can’t tell you. So keep reading! All will be revealed! The very nature of the Travelers is awsome and will blow you’re freakin’ mind. Enjoy!! XD
